Root Canal
The anesthetic will make your lips and tongue numb for about a half hour. After the anesthetic wears off, do not drink hot beverages or chew any food. You can burn or bite your tongue when you are numb.
For up to twelve hours, the area where the injections were made may remain sore. For tenderness, ask your doctor to prescribe Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
You will now need to return to the clinic for the crown to be made. This will prevent the tooth fracturing. After the procedure is finished, don’t put too much pressure on your tooth. As it increases the risk of fracture, the time between root canal treatment is not necessary. A lot of times, a crown is placed before a root canal treatment. This allows for structure and stability.
