Filling

An anesthetic will cause your lips and tongue to become numb for several hours. You should not eat hot or chew anything until the numbness is gone. Take care not to bite or burn your tongue.

Normal reactions to temperature, pressure and hot are normal. The injection sites may become tender. Tylenol and Ibuprofen can be used to reduce tenderness. If the sensation persists beyond a few days contact us at our clinic.

After the anesthetic is gone, you may chew with your composite fillings. You will feel a little more sensitive for a while after the procedure. You should not experience pain. Contact our clinic.
