Root Canal
After using anesthetic, your tongue and lips will become numb for a few hours. Do not drink any hot beverages or chew anything before the numbness ends. While numb, it will be very easy to burn or bite your tongue so keep an eye on it.
The injection areas might stay sore for a duration of up to twelve hours. Ask a doctor and take Tylenol or Ibuprofen to ease the tenderness.
Now, return to the clinic to fabricate the crown. This will prevent the tooth from getting a fracture. Do not put much pressure on the tooth before this procedure is completed. The duration between a root canal treatment and getting the final crown should not be long as it increases the possibility of fracture. Many times, fabrication of a post is done before placing the crown to add structure and stability to the tooth.
