Filling
Your lips and tongue will become numb for some hours after using an anesthetic. Do not chew or consume any hot drinks before the numbness has gone. Be careful as you might bite or burn your tongue during this time.
Sensitivity to cold, hot and pressure is normal. The injection sites can become sore. Use Tylenol, aspirin or Ibuprofen to control the tenderness. If the sensitivity continues for more than a few days, get in touch with us at our clinic.
After the anesthetic’s effects stop, you might chew using your composite fillings. The sensitivity will continue for some time after the procedure. Remember that it is unusual to experience pain, so contact our clinic.
